Kalamazoo bike crash information
Yesterday, there was a horrific crash involving a pickup truck and nine bikers from the Kalamazoo area. Information on the incident can be found here, and donations are being accepted here for the victims and their families.
Many questions are surrounding this incident, and it is perhaps reassuring that the perpetrator has been arrested.
This is a horrific, and tragic event for the victims, and the biking community. I will be watching the developments in the case against the driver closely, as should we all. Far too many people that hit, and terrorize bicyclists escape hard and lasting penalties for their crimes. I hope this one does not get away anywhere as easy...
Ride safe! It's a damned crazy world out there.

These are only general guidelines on what to expect on any particular ride. You should choose rides within your capabilities, or talk to the leader about what pace will be aimed for on that particular ride.
Communication is vital. If you are on a ride and have a 'mechanical', you should announce it to the other riders in case you need assistance or don't know where you are. Also, unless noted on the ride announcement, things like water, and spare tubes are generally not provided, unless someone offers their spare(s). We will try our best to make club rides an enjoyable experience.
