About this event

Join us Wednesday evenings for our weekly TCC Group Rides!

We will be starting at 6:00 PM and riding a 30-mile loop. The route is slightly modified from past routes, so check the new route here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50436109

Be ready to ride at 6:00 PM. Meet at Freeland Sports Zone at the Northside parking lot. This is a group ride meaning that the intent is to stay together in groups, no dropping (no leaving riders behind).

We hope to regularly have two groups, as ride leaders are available:

One group, averaging 16-18 mph (17-20mph cruising) - Lead by Nevin Steinbrink : 248-535-5025
This is a good ride for folks already comfortable with riding in a group/paceline.

Another group, averaging 14-16mph (15-18mph cruising) - Lead by Dave Hawn : 989-859-2096
This is a good ride for folks learning to ride more comfortably in a group/paceline or those who ride at a slower pace.

Both groups will start out riding the Tittabawassee and Kochville trails and then return mostly on roads. We typically take one rest stop about halfway.

Helmets are required. During the spring and fall months, please ensure you have lights for extra visibility and safety. Cancellations will be sent out if a ride is cancelled due to ride leader availability, weather, or other reasons. Otherwise, we plan to ride. Rides will also be posted on Facebook in the Tri-City Cyclists group, so please share with your friends! If you ride a 'time trial' bike with aerobars, please do not ride in the aerobars while in a paceline; Clear and good access to brakes is essential for the safety of all riders.

Email or text Nevin with questions or to let me know you plan to join us.
